vacant planet Energetic, soaring melodies, and crushing riffs with none of that meandering bullshit that plagues a lot of other post-rock bands. It is still early in the year but the bar for post-rock has been set high! Favorite track: jubilant.

hector As far as post-rock is concerned, 2019 has started with a bang. -aire is the biggest bang of them all. Heavy, melancolic, touching - brilliant. A superb album from a superb band. Favorite track: forsaken.

CARPAGE Post Rock AOTY for 2019 released in January? I don’t see this instant classic being topped by anyone. This LP needs to be listened to in its entirety, every song is superb. If you ever get a chance, see this Band live, they are outstanding musicians, and the passionate performances they give are a revelation. Favorite track: forsaken.
